Crankworx: Day 7, Ultimate Pump Track Challenge
The Ultimate Pump Track Challenge at Crankworx Thursday night saw a field of 32 finalists race back-to-back down a 20-second course of berms, doubles, and gaps—without making a single pedal stroke. Billed as “a test to harness horizontal momentum with speed, flow and flair,” the real question, perhaps, was whether reigning title holder Mitch Ropelato would pump his way to victory and a three-peat.
In the final heat, Ropelato edged out Troy Brosnan to keep his title, while Cody Johnson finished third over Martin Söderström.
